The Pressure Point
Six weeks. Twice a week.
One hard thing, resolved.
There’s a category of problem that doesn’t need a coaching program — it needs concentrated force. The partner conflict that’s poisoning the firm. The career decision postponed three times. The confidence that cracked after a public failure. The burnout crossing the line from office to home. Most executive coaching treats the personal and the professional as separate files. After 47 years in traditional karate and nearly two decades coaching executives, I can tell you: it’s the same fighter in both arenas.
The Pressure Point is a six-week sprint: two 45-minute calls per week, twelve sessions total. The doubled cadence is deliberate. Meeting twice a week leaves no room for the avoidance that created the problem — momentum builds in days, not months, and the pattern breaks because we never give it a full week to re-form.
What’s included
Twelve 45-minute calls across six weeks, by Zoom or phone. One clearly defined situation as the target. Direct, practical work — no curriculum, no binder, just the thing itself and what you’re going to do about it.
What clients build here
A decision made and executed. A hard conversation held. A destructive pattern interrupted with something stronger in its place. Clear knowledge of whether deeper work is warranted — and if so, exactly what kind.
This is for you if you’re facing one specific, pressing situation and want focused help now. It’s also the right first program if you’ve never worked with a coach and want to feel the method before committing longer.
This is not for you if your goals are broad and multi-front — that’s The Forged Executive Program — or if you’re in acute mental health crisis, which calls for a licensed clinician. If that’s where you are, contact me anyway and I’ll help you find the right support.
Questions clients ask
Why twice a week instead of weekly? Because six weeks is short, and patterns defend themselves. Twice-weekly contact keeps the pressure on the problem instead of on you.
What if six weeks doesn’t finish it? Then you’ll know precisely what remains. Continue into any longer program within 30 days and your full Pressure Point fee credits toward it.
Who knows what we discuss? No one. Full confidentiality under ICF ethical standards — not your employer, not anyone.
