The Black Belt Retainer
Three years. One advisor who knows your whole story.
Reachable whenever it matters.
A black belt is not a certificate on a wall. It’s what forms when someone trains under a master long enough that the discipline becomes their own. Careers compound the same way. The leaders who grow fastest aren’t the ones who hire help engagement by engagement — they’re the ones with a single advisor who has the full context and is present for every hard moment across years.
That is this retainer. For three years, you can reach me by phone, Zoom, or email whenever you need me, on whatever you need — no session caps, no re-enrollment, no renegotiating scope when your situation changes. The new boss. The acquisition. The family crisis that bleeds into everything. The reinvention you didn’t see coming. One advisor, the entire road. You also hold standing entry into every program I run — workshops, the Pressure Council, the Pressure Briefing — for the full term, and each year we re-run your Pressure Profile so you can see the trajectory in the data, not just the feeling.
What’s included
Three years of direct coaching access with no session limits. Standing entry into all my programs and events. An annual Pressure Profile re-assessment. Renewal by mutual agreement at the end of the term.
What clients build here
A career built with continuity instead of restarts — no re-explaining your history to a new advisor at every turn. Three years of documented movement on the rubric. Judgment that improves because someone who knows the whole picture is present for the decisions that shape it.
This is for you if you’re building a serious career arc or a company over years, not quarters, and you understand that continuity is the multiplier. I cap the number of retainer clients I carry — access without limits only works if I keep the roster small.
This is not for you if we haven’t worked together yet. Every retainer client starts smaller — a Pressure Session, a sprint, a program — because a three-year commitment should be made from evidence, not a webpage.
Questions clients ask
What if my job, city, or industry changes mid-term? Then the retainer is doing its job. It follows you, not your title.
Can I exit early? Yes — stop payments with 60 days’ written notice and the engagement ends. Elapsed months aren’t refunded; there’s no other penalty. In practice, this offer attracts people who don’t plan to leave.
Why is the monthly cost lower than the per-month cost of your five-month program? Commitment has a price, and I pay it too. You’re giving me three years of continuity; the rate reflects that.
Investment: $750 per month for thirty-six months. First month due on acceptance, monthly thereafter. By application, following prior work together.
