Privacy Policy – Legal Version

This policy explains what information is collected through goranlozo.com, how it is used, and what rights you have over it.

Coaching records are handled separately, under the terms of your coaching agreement. How I treat what you say in a session is described on my Privacy and Data Security page. This policy covers the website.

1. Who I Am

Coaching offered through goranlozo.com is delivered by Goran Lozo through BIZ Consulting USA LLC. The company is the controller of information collected through this site. Where this policy says “I,” it means Goran Lozo operating through BIZ Consulting USA LLC.

2. Information You Give Me

Newsletter and podcast signups. Name and email address, provided voluntarily when you subscribe.

Contact inquiries. Name, email address, and whatever you choose to include in your message. If you tell me your company or role, I retain that as part of the inquiry.

Coaching inquiries. Where a conversation moves toward an engagement, I may collect business contact details, organizational information, and details about what you want to work on.

I do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information through this website. Please do not include health information, financial account details, or confidential business information in a web form. If you want to discuss something of that nature, we will do it in a session.

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit this site, my hosting provider and analytics tools automatically collect:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• Pages visited, time on page, and referring URL
• Approximate location derived from IP address

This is standard server and analytics data. I use it to understand how the site is used and to keep it working.

4. Cookies and Embedded Content

This site uses cookies and similar technologies.

Necessary cookies keep the site functioning — session management, security, and remembering form state. These cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, SiteGround Traffic) show me which pages people read and how they arrived. This data is aggregated.

Embedded players. Podcast and video players on this site are served by Buzzsprout and YouTube. When a page containing an embedded player loads, those services may set their own cookies and record that you viewed the page, under their privacy policies rather than mine.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site.

5. How I Use Your Information

• To send newsletters, podcast updates, and other material you subscribed to
• To respond to inquiries and follow up on coaching conversations
• To operate, secure, and improve the website
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

I do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the GDPR applies:

• Consent — newsletter and marketing email. Withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.
• Legitimate interests — site security, analytics, and responding to inquiries.
• Contract — administering a coaching engagement you have entered into.
• Legal obligation — tax and financial record retention.

7. Service Providers

I use third-party providers who process data on my behalf. Each is bound by its own terms and applicable data protection agreements.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

I may disclose information where required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect legal rights.

8. International Transfers

My service providers are located primarily in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, transfers are made under Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved mechanism maintained by the relevant provider.

9. How Long I Keep It

• Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so you are not re-added
• Contact inquiries — 36 MONTHS from last contact
• Coaching engagement records — 7 YEARS after the engagement ends, for professional and tax purposes
• Website analytics — 14 MONTHS, per the retention setting in the analytics tool
• Session recordings — as set out in your coaching agreement, or on request, whichever comes first

10. Security

I maintain commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, described in more detail on my Privacy and Data Security page.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, I will notify you and any required authority within the timeframes the law sets.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information I hold about you
• Access a copy of it
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete it
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive it in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Not be treated differently for exercising these rights

To exercise any of these, email privacy@goranlozo.com. I will respond within 30 days. I may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

California residents. Under the CCPA and CPRA, you have the rights listed above, including the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

EEA and UK residents. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe your information has been handled improperly.

12. Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact me and I will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

Any changes will be posted on this page with the date at the top updated. Material changes affecting how your information is used will be sent by email to subscribers.
