Although in the world of snipers, explosives, ambushes, and rides it is very rare that any executive protection agent, police officer, or special operator will be engaged in a hand-to-hand combat. However, in extreme situations, expertise in karate can be the difference between life and death. Even though Goran has never experienced hand-to-hand combat during his executive protection career and law enforcement and military services, to be effective in what he did and to survive certain extreme situations, Goran was using the mental skills that he acquired through the decades of hard karate training. The ability to make quick decisions, to control emotions, to anticipate the reactions of others, to maintain awareness of everything that was happening around him, was all built through years and decades of karate training.

Goran has been an executive protection agent for politicians and corporate executives. Tested and proven, he repeatedly risked his life to successfully protect Serbian opposition leaders during the dangerous dictatorship of Slobodan Milosevic. Goran is an experienced expert in threat level assessments, advance route and site surveys, communications, protection measures, foot, vehicle, and motorcade escort techniques and procedures, explosive detection, and more.

Goran received his initial executive protection training and experience during his service in the Yugoslavian People’s Army. Goran was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant and before becoming a professional executive protection agent, when he served as an instructor in weapons and self defense for the Serbian Tactical Police Units.
