Almost all modern sports are only concerned with the physical aspect of training. On the other hand, karate provides a tremendous benefit not only to the body, but it has an extraordinary effect on the spirit and the mind.
Benefits of practicing karate are countless but if those benefits must be summarized in a few words, it would be reasonable to say that karate makes people healthier and happier, it strengthens human character, and makes its practitioners capable of protecting themselves and other innocent people against malevolent individuals.
It is hard to think about any human activity that has potential to improve human lives and society in the same way that karate has.
